Do you enjoy garage sales hopping on weekends? If you are like us, we believe there's nothing more satisfying than a bargain deal at garage sales, especially when the purchase is made on a warm, sunny day outdoor!

Hi there, welcome to Rockland Page
We created this website because of the two things we love: Rockland County and Garage Sales.
After visiting other well-known classifieds and garage sale websites, we became frustrated because our beautiful county wasn't properly known, but simply referred to as part of "Northern Jersey" or "Hudson Valley Area".
And so, we wanted to build a website that is dedicated for garage sales in Rockland County only.

We also firmly believe that nobody should pay to advertise/announce garage sales. We wanted to provide a free resource for Rockland residents so that they can easily announce or find garage sales in different parts of Rockland County.

We first launched www.NYRockland.com in June 2015, but it wasn't mobile-friendly. So, we relaunched the website in 2023 as www.Rockland Page to support all devices. In addition to garage sales and community events, we're planning to add listings of local businesses and services in Rockland County. This new section will help support our local businesses and residents to find places and services within Rockland. Let's all take part in supporting our local businesses and services by buying from them and using their services.

Below you can find answers to some of the questions you might have for us.

What's the purpose of this site?

  • This website is dedicated for garage sales (and yard sales, moving sales, estate sale, bazaar and rummage sale), community events, and business and service listings in Rockland County only.
  • Residents of Rockland County may announce planned garage sales here for FREE as in zero, zip. zilch, nada.
  • Businesses and services that are applicable to one of our categories can be listed here absolutely FREE as well.
  • Anyone can use this website to find the garage sales, community events, or businesses and services in Rockland County, with ability to narrow the search down to specific cities of choice.

What we are *NOT* about

  • Unlike Yelp or Angie's List, we do not provide review or rating features for local businesses and services listed here.
  • We recognize the potential usefulness of reviews, but we also acknowledge that negative reviews, particularly false ones, can significantly harm the reputation of a business.
  • Our main focus is on helping local businesses and services get found, and we aim to ensure that any listing on our site is not negatively impacted.
  • We kindly request that you utilize our business/service directory as a Yellow Pages and conduct your own research outside of this website to evaluate their quality and suitability for your needs.

Garage Sale & Community Event Postings

Member Guest
Postings are immediately published to the public. Postings will NOT be published until reviewed by our team (can take upto 48 hours but usually within an hour).
Can upload up to 50 pictures for each posting. Only 1 picture permitted for each posting.
Postings are listed above/before guest's postings. Postings are listed below/after member's postings.
Posting can be saved as a draft and can be modified until ready to publish without time limitation. Any work in progress posting will not be saved if not published within limited time frame.
Published posting can be modified at any time. Published postings cannot be modified.
Can "bump" their postings to the top of the list every 24 hours. Did we mention that the guest user cannot change any content once posted?
Can save specific cities as a designated filter. Filtered cities will not be saved.
Can post comments in the Blog section and any report/request will take precedence over guest's. Cannot post comments and any report/request will be secondary to member's.
Can post about garage sales without a limit. If you see a garage sale in action or a poster/flyer then you can share here! Can post only 1 garage sale and cannot post another until preceding post is published.

What does a "bumping" a post mean?

When you "bump" a post, it moves it to the top of the list so that it appears before other posts. By default, posts are sorted by the posting date and whether they were made by a registered member or a guest user. Registered members' posts are shown before guest users' posts.

For example, if member A posts a yard sale today, it will be shown at the top of the list until another member posts a sale. However, member A can "bump" their post 24 hours after the original post or after the last "bump." This will move their post to the top of the list again, which means that member B's post will be shown below A's.

Guest users' posts are always shown after registered members' posts. Note that "bumping" a post is an optional feature just for registered members.
